Pro-Ject A1.2 Fully Automatic Turntable, Black Overview
The Pro-Ject A1.2 is built to take the hassle out of vinyl play, offering full automation without compromising audio quality. Just like the Automat A1, the A1.2's mechanical automation handles tonearm movement from start to finish to reduce wear on your vinyl and stylus—lowering at the start and returning at the end. Once playing, the mechanism disengages to avoid noise and interference in the audio signal.
The A1.2 is quick to set up, with a factory-fitted Pick It MM E cartridge and built-in phono preamp for easy connection to most modern systems. You can even switch between 33 and 45 RPM electronically, meaning it's compatible with a wide range of records. Compared to the original A1, however, the A1.2 adds a die-cast aluminium platter, improved drive system, carbon fibre-reinforced headshell, and silicone-damped feet—all designed to enhance stability, reduce resonance, and deliver cleaner, more accurate sound.
